Getting Into Read 2 Cor. 5:11-21
The fifth chapter of Second Corinthians is rich. Which verse really stuck out to you personally?

Does God really expect us to persuade men? V.11 How do you suppose we do that?

How is Christ's love supposed to be such a compelling and motivating factor in the life of a believer?

"And he died for all" in verse 15: who is the "he" and who are the "all"?

What is the significance of being a "new creation"? V. 17

In your words: what is the ministry of reconciliation and who is assigned to it?

What role did Jesus play in this reconciliation? Why was reconciliation needed in the first place?

Can you not tell people about Jesus and still be obedient? (in lieu of vv. 18, 19)?

 

Going Deeper
Paul seemed extremely motivated. His life was often threatened and he lived under much duress. What was his motivation? What kept him going?

Read Luke 22:30-46; Ps. 75:8, Isa. 51:17, Jer. 25:15; Isa. 53:6 and explain what happened at the cross. Write a paragraph or more. Read Romans 5:6-8. How much does Jesus love you?

Find one person that you care enough about to persuade. Be intentional. Be a minister of reconciliation.
