DAY 02

8 Now while he was serving as priest before God when his division was on duty, 9 according to the custom of the priesthood, he was chosen by lot to enter the temple of the Lord and burn incense. 10 And the whole multitude of the people were praying outside at the hour of incense.
Luke 1:8-10
During this time, the people worshipped God at the Temple. And there, priests were employed at the offering of incense to remove the ashes of the former service. They would bring in and place on the golden altar a pan filled with hot burning coals taken from the "altar of burnt offering" and then sprinkle the incense on the hot coals. The smoke that ascended was to make intercession for the people. This was the most distinguished part of the service (Rev 8:3), and this was what fell to the responsibility of Zechariah at this time. And the whole multitude of men and women gathered outside the Temple were devoted to prayer.

Jesus, the Son of God, was given by the Father to die as the ultimate offering and sacrifice to cover your sins. Because of Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection, burnt offerings are no longer needed. Jesus is the Intercessor for us before God. Believe in Jesus and His finished work on the cross; trust Him as Lord of your life, and you will be saved. Saved from the curse of sin and made alive in Christ. Your worst mistake forgiven. Your sin completely covered.
Prayer
If You’ve never placed your trust in Jesus, why wait? What are you waiting for? If you believe that Jesus is the Son of God, confess and turn from your sins and ask for forgiveness. In your own prayer, submit your life to Jesus and ask Him to be the Lord of your life.

Thank Jesus for the price He paid for you and
worship Him.
