DAY 07

23 And when his time of service was ended, he went to his home. 24 After these days his wife Elizabeth conceived, and for five months she kept herself hidden, saying, 25 “Thus the Lord has done for me in the days when he looked on me, to take away my reproach among people.”
Luke 1:23-25
This part of the story ends beautifully. Though Zechariah was sentenced to temporary silence, Elizabeth was not silent! Her life had changed! Zechariah’s life had changed!  God was very good to them. A truth to cherish: God’s promises are bigger than our responses, good or bad. Elizabeth was barren, and now she is pregnant! God's promise was fulfilled. Not just about John’s birth but everything God said he would do.

God loves you and me with a love that does not depend on our goodness. He challenges us to trust His promises with faith. Even when we fall short, He is still true to His word. Like Elizabeth and Zechariah, we are amazed at God's grace poured out on us. God’s grace is bigger than our failures; for that, we can all be thankful.
God, thank you for Your goodness. Even in my trials and tribulations, You are good to me. I am not worthy of your grace, yet you cover me with love. Jesus, I am grateful beyond words can comprehend. For this, I will not be silent. I will not be silent about how you changed my life.
